JDRF is dedicated to funding research, advocating for policies, and providing a network for people across the world affected by Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). JDRF is the world’s largest nonprofit for T1D research, and are focused on finding a cure. Although no one knows when finding a cure will be possible the scientists and researchers at JDRF are committed to pursing innovative ideas and approaches that will eventually lead to treatment. Outside of the lab this organization is focused on advocating for increased government funding to help further research, work with academia, clinicians, insurers, and regulators to get new therapies and devices onto the market, and hold events that connect the T1D community.
